Our Story

1981: Ski Den Sports Inc., located on the University of Minnesota Campus, opened its doors for the first time in March.  We started out selling downhill skis, roller-blades, tennis rackets, and Golden Gopher apparel.  

1990: After a very successful couple years on the U of M campus, we acquired our second store and opened University Screen Printing.  The original building was only 1,500 sq. ft. and is the location of our current business.  

1994: We started construction on a new 2,600 sq. ft. addition at our current location.  Shortly after we combined the two businesses and created Athletic Outfitters.  With the new expansion we added embroidery and a large retail floor.

2005: Construction started on another new 1,400 sq. ft. addition to accommodate larger screen printing and embroidery departments.
